LPMR Delta: Democratizing Financial Data
TL;DR
- Financial data tools became complex and expensive without improving usability.
- LPMR Delta ingests SEC XBRL filings and converts them into validated, structured, analysis-ready data.
- Complex taxonomies are handled automatically, with errors flagged at the source level.
- The platform prioritizes transparency, speed, and clarity over feature bloat.
- Built for founders, analysts, and data-driven teams who need reliable data without terminal overhead.
Why We Built LPMR Delta
During my time at NSE Cogencis (a National Stock Exchange of India subsidiary), my seniors and I spent weeks setting up meetings with CFOs, GMs, and AGMs across Kolkata and Eastern India. We’d walk into their offices, open our market data terminal, and try to convince them to switch.
The same thing happened almost every single time: the moment we (or any competitor) showed a “professional grade” terminal, their eyes glazed over. Endless menus, features buried layers deep, mandatory multi-day training sessions, all for software most of them would only touch for 30–60 minutes a day.
Meanwhile, every company in the market-data business was racing to build something even more complex, as if complexity itself was the value.
Customers were left with two bad options:
-
pay tens of thousands of dollars annually for bloated products packed with features they’d never use, or
-
settle for something cheap but painfully limited — delayed data, missing filings, and still confusing to navigate.
One CFO finally just laughed and asked, “Why would I pay that much for something I barely use?”
He was right. The entire industry had it backwards.
Financial professionals didn’t need another over-engineered terminal. They needed clean, reliable data delivered instantly, pricing that charged only for what they actually used, and software that respected their time instead of wasting it.
That’s why I built LPMR Delta.
What is LPMR Delta?
LPMR Delta is a financial data platform built on three core principles:
1. Making Financial Data Actually Usable
We start with XBRL filings from the SEC — the structured financial data that’s technically public but notoriously difficult to work with, and transform it into clean, analyzable formats with interactive visualizations. No wrestling with raw XML files or inconsistent taxonomies.
Every financial statement, footnote, and disclosure is parsed, validated, and presented in a format that actually makes sense. You get instant access to balance sheets, income statements, cash flows, and detailed breakdowns — all searchable, comparable, and ready for analysis.
This is our foundation. As we expand, the same principles apply to every data source we add.
2. Keeping It Simple
No multi-day training sessions. No certification courses. If you can navigate a modern website, you can use LPMR Delta.
We built the interface around how analysts actually work, not around impressing people with feature density. Search for a company, pull up their filings, analyze the data, that’s it. The learning curve is measured in minutes, not weeks.
3. Transparent Pricing
Starting with US market data, you can access real-time SEC filings and financial statements without paying for bundled features you don’t need.
We’re launching with a free tier that gives you genuine access to explore the platform. When you’re ready to scale, our paid plan is $19/month or $190/year, not thousands.
Who Is LPMR Delta For?
LPMR Delta is built for financial professionals who need reliable data without the overhead:
-
Went Independent? Left the sell-side or corporate role? Keep the exact same data quality, instantly. No enterprise contracts, no Bloomberg terminal tied to a desk.
-
Post-University Analysts who graduated and lost institutional access. Continue your work with zero compromise — same SEC data, same quality, accessible pricing.
-
Startups & Small Firms growing fast but can’t justify $20,000+ terminal costs. Get institutional-quality data without institutional overhead.
-
Freelance Analysts & Consultants who need client-ready research with professional tools. Flexible pricing that scales with your work, not against it.
-
Financial Data Scientists who need clean, structured XBRL data for quantitative analysis, machine learning models, or systematic research — accessible from anywhere.
-
CFOs and Finance Teams who need to benchmark against peers or monitor competitor filings for strategic insights, without the bloated feature sets.
How It Works
LPMR Delta connects directly to SEC EDGAR, processing new filings as they’re published. Our system:
- Retrieves filings in real-time as companies submit them to the SEC
- Parses the XBRL data, handling the complex taxonomies and validating against accounting standards
- Structures the information into consistent, comparable formats across companies and time periods
- Visualizes the data with interactive charts and tables that make trends and outliers immediately visible
You can search by company name or ticker. Compare metrics across competitors. Track changes over time.
No proprietary file formats. No vendor lock-in. Just clean data, delivered the way you need it.
What Makes LPMR Delta Different
| Feature | LPMR Delta | Traditional Terminals |
|---|---|---|
| Real-Time Access | New filings within minutes | Next-day batch updates |
| Training Required | None, if you can use a website, you’re ready | Multi-day sessions required |
| Data Validation | Flags XBRL tagging errors automatically | Often passes errors through |
| Transparency | Every data point links to source filing | Black box calculations |
| Pricing | $19/month or $190/year | $10,000–$25,000+ annually |
Here’s what each of these differences means in practice:
-
Real-Time Access: New SEC filings appear on LPMR Delta within minutes of publication. You’re not waiting for overnight batch processes or next-day updates.
-
Data Quality: We validate every XBRL filing against the official SEC taxonomies and flag inconsistencies. When companies make errors in their XBRL tagging, our system identifies them, so you’re working with the most accurate data possible.
-
No Black Boxes: Every data point links back to its source in the original filing. If something looks unusual, you can verify it directly against the SEC document. Transparency isn’t optional, it’s built into the platform.
-
Actually Affordable: We’re not targeting multi-billion dollar hedge funds with unlimited budgets. LPMR Delta is priced for the analysts, researchers, and investors who’ve been priced out of professional-grade data tools.
Getting Started
We’re launching LPMR Delta with a free tier that includes:
- Search by ticker or company name
- Access to historical SEC filings (availability varies by company)
- View latest filings for any form type
- Basic financial ratio visualization
This isn’t a demo with dummy data or artificial limitations. It’s the real platform, with real data, designed to give you a genuine sense of what LPMR Delta can do for your workflow.
When you need more — view filings by specific date, compare multiple companies side-by-side, download documents in bulk, export charts to PDF/Excel, or access advanced analytics, our paid plan is available at $19/month or $190/year.
What’s Coming Next
LPMR Delta launches with comprehensive coverage of US SEC filings, but this is just the beginning.
We’re building toward a complete financial data platform:
- International Markets: Expanding beyond US filings to include financial data from exchanges worldwide
- Additional Data Sources: Market data, economic indicators, and alternative datasets as we gain access
- Enhanced Analytics: Built-in financial ratio calculators, trend analysis, and peer comparison tools
- Usage-Based Billing: Flexible pricing options with minimal base fees for users who need occasional access
- API Access: Programmatic data access for quantitative researchers and developers
- Alerts and Monitoring: Automated notifications when companies you track file new documents or when metrics cross thresholds
Our approach is deliberate: we’re starting with SEC data because it’s complex, important, and poorly served by existing tools. Each new data source we add will receive the same treatment — cleaned, structured, and delivered simply.
Our roadmap is driven by what users actually need, not what looks impressive in a feature list. If you have specific data requirements or use cases, we want to hear them.
The Vision
Financial data should be accessible to anyone who needs it, not just institutions with massive technology budgets.
LPMR Delta exists because complexity and cost shouldn’t be barriers to good analysis. Whether you’re analyzing SEC filings today or comparing global market data tomorrow, you deserve access to clean, reliable information without the overhead of traditional terminals.
We’re building LPMR Delta for the financial professionals who’ve been told they need to compromise — who’ve been forced to choose between expensive complexity and affordable inadequacy.
That choice doesn’t make sense anymore, and it doesn’t need to exist.
We’re starting with SEC data. We’re not stopping there.
